Job summary

The US National Nuclear Security Administration seeks a Program Manager to provide technical expertise and act as a Senior Advisor over the LANL subject matter portfolio, including federal landlord responsibilities and program execution at Los Alamos National Laboratory for DOE/NNSA operations.

This role requires effective contract management as a technical monitor on substantial annual expenditures and a focus on governance, planning, and performance improvement.

Qualifications

  • Ability to plan, schedule and conduct projects to improve government facilities and infrastructure management.
  • Demonstrated competency in compliance, evaluation, data analysis and project oversight.

Responsibilities

  • Perform contract management as a technical monitor on large DOE/NNSA program funds.

Job description

A successful candidate in this position will serve as a Program Manager to provide technical expertise and serve as a Senior Advisor and expert over the NA-LA subject matter portfolio including federal landlord responsibilities, project and program development and execution at the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) (as well as for DOE/NNSA), to perform effective contract management as a technical monitor on the $5.2B annually spent at LANL. A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower NNSA pay band level or GS grade level in the Federal Service, i.e.. EN-03 or GS-13.

Specialized experience for this position is defined as experience in a field of Project management and Contracting that demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of Contracting and Project Management, infrastructure planning, along with experience designing and conducting governance, self-assessments, audits and program administration. To meet this requirement, applicants must have experience with contract execution, planning, scheduling, and conducting projects and studies to evaluate and recommend ways to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of government facilities and infrastructure management.
