A government contracting firm is seeking a Program Manager to oversee complex programs in Lee's Summit, MO. Job description

Position Overview

This position requires an active Secret clearance.

The Program Manager oversees and manages complex government programs, providing analytical, operational, and strategic leadership to ensure successful contract execution. This role develops statistical analyses, cost estimates, and performance reports; leads special projects; prepares and revises standard operating procedures; and delivers briefings to government leadership. The Program Manager proactively identifies risks, recommends process improvements, and serves as the primary liaison to the Government to ensure quality, cost, and performance objectives are met.

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Program Manager: Pay commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement complex statistical analyses, cost estimates, and analytical reports.
  • Conduct fact-finding for special projects and respond timely to Government inquiries.
  • Present oral briefings to USCIS management officials.
  • Prepare SOPs and revisions with excellent writing skills.
  • Proactively inform the Government on significant issues and respond with corrective actions.
  • Identify and recommend new approaches to improve quality, cost, and process efficiencies.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • At least five (5) years of recent overall program/project management experience within the last 7 years.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in program management, business or public administration, production/operations/manufacturing/quality management, technical management, information systems, engineering, or finance/accounting.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is acceptable in lieu of the educational requirement.
  • Must possess, or obtain within 180 days of contract award, a Six Sigma Black Belt certification from one of the following: American Society for Quality, International Association for Six Sigma Certification, or Council for Six Sigma Certification.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
