Job summary

AMAX in Fremont, CA is seeking a program manager to own customer projects, lead the focus team, plan schedules, monitor execution, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure manufacturing outcomes and customer satisfaction.

You will manage the full program lifecycle, analyze risks, and create reports for customers and stakeholders, aligning with production and customer needs while collaborating with sales, engineering, supply chain and finance to deliver high-quality solutions.

Qualifications

• Three years of program management experience in electronics hardware manufacturing.
• Background in engineering is a plus.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.

Responsibilities

• Own the customer projects: lead the focus team, plan schedules, monitor implementation, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure manufacturing outcomes and customer satisfaction.
• Manage the program lifecycle and related tasks and personnel for high efficiency and results.
• Analyze, evaluate, and mitigate program risks and create reports for customers and stakeholders.
• Align with production and customer needs, organizing program operations including production assembly, testing, quality, and supply chain management.
• Provide timely updates and robust solutions to customers, understanding expectations and offering feasible responses.
• Represent AMAX by engaging with customers, suppliers, and vendors to build strong relationships and opportunities.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, supply chain, and other teams to resolve issues such as material planning or production scheduling.
• Work with global management and engineering teams to address issues and ensure high-quality solutions and clear communication.
• Coordinate with finance to ensure cost control and achieve objectives.

Job description

You will be responsible for managing, coordinating, and executing AMAX's program development and operations. Your role includes:

• Own the customer projects. Lead the assigned focus team, plan the schedule, monitor the implementation, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure manufacturing outcomes and customer satisfaction
• Manage the program lifecycle and all related tasks and personnel, ensuring high efficiency and achieving expected results
• Analyze, evaluate, and overcome program risks, and create program reports for customers and stakeholders
• Align with production and customer needs, organizing and supporting program operations, including but not limited to production assembly, testing, quality management, and supply chain management
• Provide timely updates and robust solutions to customers. Understand customers' expectations, and offer feasible solutions that respond to various needs
• Represent AMAX by engaging with customers, suppliers, and vendors, creating business opportunities and benefits, and building strong business relationships
• Collaborate with sales, technical engineering, supply chain, and other internal teams to resolve relevant issues, such as material planning or production scheduling
• Collaborate closely with the global management and engineering teams, proactively addressing and resolving issues, ensuring high-quality solutions and clear communication, and achieving business goals
• Cooperate with the finance team, ensuring cost control and meeting established objectives

Requirements

• At least three years of program management experience in electronics-related hardware manufacturing. Related fields include servers, HPC, industrial PCs, clusters, and storage systems. Management and client-facing experience is preferred
• A background in engineering is a plus
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and customer service abilities, ensuring client satisfaction internally and externally

The annual salary range for this position is between $90,000 and $110,000. This may be subject to change based on the candidate's education, experience and skill set.
