Job summary

AMAX, established in 1979, seeks a manufacturing engineer in Fremont, CA to optimize production for high reliability and cost efficiency. You will develop and implement processes, drive continuous improvement, and evaluate equipment to support scalable manufacturing of GPU-accelerated IT infrastructure.

Qualifications

• BS, MS or equivalent in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electronic Engineering.
• Experience in an electronic devices manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong analytical and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement manufacturing processes for performance and cost efficiency.
• Analyze processes and drive continuous improvement.

• Estimate and improve standard processing times for planning and cost estimation.

• Troubleshoot and diagnose complex issues.

Job description

• Develop and implement manufacturing processes to maintain proper product functionality, as well as cost efficiency.
• Analyze manufacturing process and drive for continueus improvement.
• Evaluate and implement equipment/tools/fixtures/automations to aid in the manufacturing process.
• Design and improve production layout.
• Estimate and improve standard manufacturing processing time for production planning and cost estimation.
• Ensure project/department milestones/goals are met.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose complex issues.
• Perform all other duties, as assigned.

Requirements

• BS, MS, or equivalent in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electronic Engineering.
• Experience in an electronic devices manufacturing environment preferred.
• Working effectively and accurately under narrow time limitations.
• Ability to work independently in a fast paced dynamic environment; communicating clearly and concisely verbally and in writing.
• An ability to think logically and critically that helps to weigh various available options and take the best decision in favor of efficient production.
• High motivation and desire to do whatever it takes to help the customers and our company succeed.
• Server and/or Rack products experience preferred.

NPI and sustaining production environment experience preferred
