Job summary

Ariel Partners seeks an experienced Program Manager to lead contract support operations and projects involving IT and telecommunications systems at multiple sites, including Fort Belvoir, VA.

You will coordinate teams, manage plans, risks, and deliverables, and ensure compliance with IT acquisition milestones while communicating with stakeholders.

Active Secret clearance required; PMP or equivalent certification is preferred; SAFe is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of program management experience.
• At least 10 years of leadership experience with increasing responsibility.
• Experience with IT acquisition milestones.
• Experience analyzing varied source docs and supporting acquisition docs.
• PM certification from an accredited institution or clearly explained equivalent.
• Demonstrated written and oral communication skills.

The Program Manager leads contract support operations and projects involving teams of data processing and information management professionals. This role directs planning, execution, and delivery across one or more projects and locations, including work to analyze, design, integrate, test, document, convert, extend, and implement automated information and telecommunications systems. The Program Manager coordinates personnel and resources, communicates with stakeholders, and adjusts the management structure as needed to support contract performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day contract support operations across multiple projects, teams, and locations as applicable.
• Organize, direct, and coordinate planning and production of all contract support activities.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams through analysis, design, integration, testing, documentation, conversion, extension, and implementation of automated information and telecommunications systems.
• Set priorities, assign work, monitor progress, address risks and issues, and maintain accountability for contract deliverables.
• Establish and adjust the management structure, staffing assignments, and reporting relationships to support effective contract execution.
• Communicate plans, status, decisions, and issues clearly in writing and in meetings and briefings.
• Support IT acquisition activities by assessing source documentation and helping prepare acquisition documentation aligned with process milestones.

Required Qualifications

• At least 5years of program management experience.
• At least 10 years of leadership experience with progressively increasing responsibility in the public and/or private sector in IT and/or consulting.
• Experience with the Information Technology acquisition process and its milestones.
• Experience analyzing varied source documentation and supporting the creation of acquisition documentation.
• A Project or Program Management certification from an accredited institution, such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or another recognized equivalent. Relevant government, commercial, university, and college programs may qualify.
• Candidates proposing training, degrees, or relevant experience in place of certification must clearly explain how those credentials are equivalent to the required certification.
• Demonstrated written and oral communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

SAFe Agile certification or an industry-recognized equivalent.
