The Highway Safety Division is responsible to coordinate North Dakota's Vision Zero strategy to reduce motor vehicle crash fatalities and serious injuries to zero. This occurs through broad stakeholder involvement to implement the North Dakota Vision Zero Plan.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a passion for safety and a desire to make a positive impact. Must be self-directed, highly organized and able to manage time and priorities effectively, detail-oriented, capable of interpreting data and complying with regulations, and have a demonstrated ability to communicate well with a variety of groups.
Requires a bachelor's degree, and four years of work experience leading to a level of knowledge, skill, and ability necessary to work independently in interacting with others, problem solving, decision-making, and meeting established goals through planning, organizing, and controlling work activities, OR
An associates degree, and six years of work experience leading to a level of knowledge, skill, and ability necessary to work independently in interacting with others, problem solving, decision-making, and meeting established goals through planning, organizing, and controlling work activities.
Requires satisfactory completion of the interview process and a verifiable record of satisfactory performance in previous employment.
