Job summary

Innovative Vitality ABA Inc. in Bakersfield is seeking a Program Manager to oversee and implement individualized ABA treatment plans under BCBA supervision. This role requires coordinating staff, delivering 1:1 therapy in clients' homes, and ensuring accurate data collection and documentation.

You will collaborate with families, support skill development, and uphold ethical standards while participating in ongoing supervision and professional growth opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • 2+ years in ABA, with at least 1 year supervising ABA programs.
  • RBT certification preferred but not required.
  • TB test clearance and background check required; driver's license and car insurance required.

Responsibilities

  • Staff management: onboarding new staff and scheduling sessions for clients.
  • Provide 1:1 ABA therapy at client homes under BCBA plans.
  • Collect data and maintain accurate documentation per protocols.
  • Implement behavior management and reinforcement strategies.
  • Work under supervision of a BCBA with regular communication.
  • Teach essential skills: communication, socialization, self-care, academics.
  • Collaborate with families and provide progress feedback.
  • Follow ABA ethical standards and protect client privacy.
  • Engage in ongoing training, supervision, and plan adjustments.

Job description

Position Summary:

Program Manager works closely under the supervision and guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The program manager is responsible for the creating, revising, and implementing individualized treatment plans.

Required Education & Experience:
  1. Bachelor’s Degree requires (Masters preferred)
  2. Recent experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and/or related developmental disabilities in a direct care capacity preferred.
  3. Minimum of 2 years experience required in the field of ABA, at least 1 year is supervising ABA programs
Certifications, Clearances, Insurance:
  1. RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) certification (Preferred but not required)
  2. CPR and First Aid certification (Preferred but not Required)
  3. TB test Clearance (Required)
  4. Pass Background check (Required)
  5. Driver’s licence (Required)
  6. Proof of automobile insurance (Required)
Skills & Abilities:
  1. Knowledge of ABA principles, techniques, and research.
  2. Ability to assess, analyze, and interpret behavior data.
  3. Designing Treatment plans
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex ABA concepts to families and staff.
  5. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  6. Ability to maintain a professional, compassionate, and positive approach in a variety of settings.
  7. Travel to multiple work sites; reliable transportation required
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Staff Management: Assisting with onboarding new staff and ensuring smooth transitions into services. Coordinate scheduling of sessions for assigned clients, ensuring proper coverage and efficient use of resources.
  2. Implement ABA Therapy: Provide 1:1 therapy to clients in their homes, following individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) created by the BCBA.
  3. Data Collection & Documentation: Collect data on client progress during each session, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with clinical protocols.
  4. Behavior Management: Implement behavior management techniques, including reinforcement strategies, to reduce challenging behaviors and promote positive behaviors.
  5. Work under supervision of BCBA: Work closely under the supervision and guidance of a BCBA, have regular communication and collaboration.
  6. Skill Development: Teach clients essential skills such as communication, socialization, self-care, and academics through structured interventions.
  7. Collaboration with Families: Maintain open communication with family members, providing regular feedback on client progress and encouraging family involvement in therapy.
  8. Follow Protocols & Ethical Standards: Adhere to the ethical guidelines of ABA therapy and ensure confidentiality and respect for client privacy.
  9. Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training, supervision, and meetings with the BCBA to review progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs if necessary.
  • Comfortable working in a home setting, with flexibility to travel between client homes.
