Job summary

Westside Children's Therapy seeks a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to manage a caseload and oversee ongoing ABA therapy programs. You will train and supervise RBTs and ensure documentation such as SOAP notes and progress reports reflects each client’s goals.

Job description

Position Summary

The BCBA is responsible for managing a caseload of clients providing Applied Behavior Analysis services. They are responsible for the development and maintenance of client’s ongoing therapy programs. The BCBA is also responsible for consistent parent training, as well as mentorship and training for the RBTs on their caseload.

Essential Functions
  • Assess incoming clients for treatment using various assessment tools, and provide a clinical recommendation for weekly treatment hours based on client need
  • Develop individualized therapeutic programs to address client goals, drawing heavily from NET principles
  • Maintain all client programming to ensure it is current, accurate, and reflective of each client's active treatment plan and clinical goals.
  • Support RBTs via mentorship and training for children on their caseload
  • Provide supervision for 5-10% of an RBTs supervision hours
  • Direct work with clients, always being ready to model a skill for an RBT or client
  • Complete and submit required documentation, including, but not limited to, SOAP Notes, Evaluations, Progress Reports in accordance with practice guidelines
  • Coordination of care with other professionals and disciplines
  • Supervision of at least 1 student earning their BCBA fieldwork hours, if necessary
  • Mentor and train new team members as requested by Clinic ABA Director
  • Participate in weekly meetings with the clinic’s ABA team, as needed
  • Maintain targeted caseload
Qualifications

Required Education, Experience and Credentials:

  • Master’s Degree in Psychology, Education, Applied Behavior Analysis or a related field
  • Current BCBA certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
  • Experience working in a clinic setting

  • Ability to learn and implement de-escalation skills for client sessions

Travel Requirements
  • Minimal travel within assigned region for training, meetings and supporting client coverage needs.
