Job summary

The Illinois Department of Transportation seeks a Senior Public Service Administrator to serve as Program Management Section Chief. The successful candidate will plan, develop, organize, and manage the department's annual highway improvement program.

Qualifications

• Four years of college coursework in business, finance, management, economics, statistics, or accounting
• Four years of progressively responsible administrative experience in highway planning and programming including budgetary planning and fiscal management
• Two years of experience with federal and state transportation regulations and funding programs
• Three years of supervisory or managerial experience directing staff or leading teams
• Strong oral and written communication skills to present technical and budgetary information to leadership and stakeholders
• Ability to travel with overnight stays as appropriate and possess a valid driver's license
