The role leads the Commercial Operating System, governance routines, and an operating cadence to drive measurable business outcomes across the customer experience and quote-to-cash lifecycle.

The leader will partner across Commercial, Finance, Operations, IT, and other functions to prioritize high-value initiatives, improve process discipline, and strengthen accountability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience leading cross-functional transformation initiatives with governance and measurable results.
  • Strong analytical capability with data, KPIs, and performance trends to diagnose root causes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Commercial Operating System with governance routines and performance management.
  • Own the transformation portfolio translating priorities into executable programs with milestones, owners, risks, and outcomes.
  • Drive organizational effectiveness by improving decision velocity, process consistency, and resource alignment.
  • Establish standard work, process documentation, visual management, scorecards, and continuous improvement routines.
  • Drive end-to-end process improvement across key commercial workflows.
  • Facilitate cross-functional decision-making by aligning priorities and resources.
  • Govern intake, prioritization, and execution of commercial initiatives to focus on high-value work.
  • Lead change management, communication, adoption planning, and stakeholder engagement.

Job description

The Program Management Director is responsible for translating Commercial Operations strategy into disciplined execution and measurable business outcomes. This role will build and lead the Commercial Operating System, establish governance and operating rhythms, and drive cross-functional transformation across the customer experience and quote-to-cash lifecycle. The leader will partner across Commercial, Finance, Operations, IT, and other functions to prioritize high-value initiatives, improve process discipline, reduce manual variation, and strengthen accountability. Success in this role will be measured by the ability to improve execution speed, scalability, customer experience, and P&L impact.

This role is not just about managing projects, but building an operating engine that transforms commercial performance. This is an individual contributor leadership role with high visibility and broad organizational influence.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Commercial Operating System, including governance routines, operating cadence, performance management, escalation paths, and accountability mechanisms.
  • Own the commercial transformation portfolio by translating strategic priorities into executable programs with defined milestones, owners, deliverables, risks, dependencies, and measurable business outcomes.
  • Drive organizational effectiveness across Commercial Operations by improving decision velocity, process consistency, resource alignment, and execution discipline.
  • Establish and sustain standard work, process documentation, visual management, scorecards, and continuous improvement routines that reduce rework, improve consistency, and enable scalable growth.
  • Drive end-to-end process improvement across key commercial workflows.
  • Facilitate cross-functional decision-making by aligning stakeholders on priorities, tradeoffs, resource needs, process ownership, and corrective actions.
  • Govern the intake, prioritization, and execution of commercial improvement initiatives to ensure organizational capacity is focused on the highest-value work.
  • Lead change management, communication, adoption planning, and stakeholder engagement to ensure new processes, tools, and operating expectations are understood, adopted, and reinforced.
  • Lead through influence across a matrixed organization, aligning process owners, project resources, and business leaders toward shared outcomes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Improvement in organizational effectiveness, including reduction in quote-to-cash cycle time, handoff quality and process visibility.
  • Process variation, rework, and manual handoffs are reduced across key commercial workflows.
  • Commercial teams operate with stronger standard work, governance routines, and accountability.
  • Leaders have better visibility into transformation progress, capacity, tradeoffs, and business impact.
Let’s Talk About Your Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or a related field required.
  • 8+ years of experience in program management, business transformation, commercial operations, process excellence, continuous improvement, customer experience, sales operations, or a related leadership role.
  • Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional transformation initiatives from strategy through execution, including governance, prioritization, stakeholder alignment, risk management, and measurable results.
  • Experience building operating systems, management routines, scorecards, standard work, process documentation, intake models, governance structures, or portfolio management practices.
  • Strong analytical capability with experience using data, KPIs, and performance trends to diagnose root causes, prioritize work, and drive accountability.
  • Demonstrated ability to connect process improvement, data, technology, and operating discipline to measurable business outcomes.
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, project management, change management, or continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
  • Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, PMP, Prosci, or a related discipline preferred.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders, align cross-functional teams, and translate complex problems into clear decisions and actions.
