Job summary

The Department of Social Services (DSS) of the City of New York seeks a Principal Administrative Associate II to support Customized Assistance Services (CAS). You will liaise with substance abuse programs, collect data, generate reports, coordinate meetings, and maintain system data to ensure program compliance.

This civil service role requires strong writing and organizational skills, plus experience in administrative supervision and proficiency with Microsoft Office. NYC residency preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 3 years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience, including supervisory duties.
  • Associate degree or 60 credits with 4 years of similar experience including supervisory duties.
  • High school diploma or equivalent with 5 years of clerical/administrative experience including supervisory duties.
  • Education/experience equivalent to above; must include 1 year of supervisory/admin experience.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with Substance Abuse related programs regarding program updates, training, issues with automated systems and reporting requirements.
  • Collect data, perform analysis and produce reports on program activities and outcomes.
  • Research case-specific information via automated systems and program contacts; forward to Office management.
  • Coordinate meetings and training and respond to inquiries from Substance Abuse programs.
