Job summary

The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) in Maine seeks an experienced supervisor to oversee behavioral health programs, working with providers to fund essential mental health services across the state.

You will monitor contract performance, develop budgets, and coordinate with the OBH Contracts Team to ensure compliance and effective service delivery for adults with serious mental illness and related populations.

Qualifications

• Eight (8) year combination of education and/or professional experience in social services including two (2) years of related program management experience.
• Experience with adults with serious mental illness or overseeing service providers.
• Knowledge of assessments and evidence-based practices for mental health services.

Responsibilities

• Providing oversight of OBH programs and working with providers to fund needed mental health services across the state.
• Monitoring and evaluating program efficiency through performance measures and metrics.
• Drafting contractual agreements and budgets; coordinating with the OBH Contracts Team.
• Analyzing contract performance and forecasting spending trends with finance and data teams.
• Conducting site visits to ensure compliance with grant contracts and MaineCare policy.
• Analyzing service encounter reports to determine eligibility of services.
