Job summary

Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability is seeking a fixed‑term Program Manager to oversee Planetary Intelligence and Climate Adaptation projects on Stanford's main campus with a hybrid work option. You will drive project planning, data analysis, and stakeholder engagement to advance sustainability initiatives.

The role requires experience in research operations, event planning, and collaboration across disciplines, startups, and external partners.

Qualifications

  • Degree in a scientific or engineering related field.
  • Interest in science-related careers across academia, business, policy, or related fields.
  • Experience with AI and/or geospatial science.
  • Experience with data management and/or computer science.
  • Experience developing events, workshops, and trainings.
  • Experience working in or with start-ups.
  • Ability to influence without authority.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor Planetary Intelligence and Climate Adaptation projects, keeping them on track and within scope.
  • Collect and analyze program data, generate reports, and prepare memos and presentations.
  • Conduct in-depth technical and market research to aid project teams and report on developments in the field.
  • Design and plan content for events, workshops, and trainings, including materials and logistics.
  • Facilitate communication and identify synergies between projects and external stakeholders.
  • Represent the Accelerator internally and externally at conferences and meetings.
  • Lead day-to-day program management for multi-stakeholder initiatives.
