Job summary

UEC is seeking a motivated intern to develop business process diagrams and assist in building automation bots using Blue Prism at our Knoxville headquarters. You will participate in transformation initiatives, gaining hands-on experience while collaborating with professionals delivering automation solutions.

Ideal candidates are pursuing undergrad or master’s degrees in IT, BPM, Business Analytics, or CIS, with Excel proficiency and an interest in automation and user experience.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate or master’s degree in IT, BPM, Business Analytics, or CIS.
• Proficiency in Excel; experience with automation tools is a plus with training provided.
• Strong communication, empathy, user experience focus, and teamwork.
• High interest in process automation and continuous improvement.

Your Role

• Develop business process diagrams by analyzing and documenting business processes to identify automation opportunities.
• Assist in building automation bots using Blue Prism software and other automation technologies under team guidance.
• Support business transformation initiatives that streamline processes and improve operational effectiveness.
• Receive hands-on mentorship and gain real-world experience working with professionals designing and implementing automation solutions.

About You

The company is looking for:

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate or master's degree in Information Technology, Business Process Management, Business Analytics, Computer Information Systems, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Excel; experience with Blue Prism, process mapping tools, automation technologies, or data analysis tools is a plus, with training provided as needed.
• Strong communication skills, empathy, and an appreciation for user experience, with enjoyment in collaboration and problem-solving.
• A high level of interest in process automation, continuous improvement, and emerging technologies.
