NIRA, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Program Analyst to provide strategic and analytical support to director-level leadership within the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This individual will play a critical role in facilitating informed decision-making, ensuring operational effectiveness, and supporting complex programmatic initiatives within a dynamic federal environment. We are looking for a seasoned professional who can be closely involved with the executive's responsibilities and looking to make a difference in the implementation of aviation systems and programs.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide direct administrative, analytical, operational, and strategic support to FAA director-level leadership.
- Manage workflows, track tasks, and coordinate deliverables to ensure timely completion of Director/Deputy Director priorities.
- Manage scheduling and calendar support for the Director/Deputy Director.
- Attend various meetings, capture meeting minutes and actions items.
- Draft, review, and edit high-quality reports, briefing materials, presentations, and correspondence.
- Support policy development, process improvement, and implementation of procedures.
- Collaborate with Group Managers and Program Management Organization (PMO) leadership to log, track, and analyze taskings; synthesize responses and provide actionable recommendations.
- Develop and monitor key programmatic initiatives, performance metrics, and project plans.
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Facilitate communication and alignment across internal and external stakeholders.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education Requirements and qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, Aviation Management, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- 10+ years of progressive experience in program analysis or advisory roles, ideally within the FAA or a related federal agency.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Skills.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Ability to effectively prioritize, execute tasks, and meet deadlines
- Demonstrated experience supporting executive or senior leadership.
- Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
- Must be able to pass Public Trust background check.
