Job summary

ASRC Federal Advanced Research is seeking a Senior Program Financial Analyst to support autonomy vehicle integrations in Sterling Heights, Michigan. The role centers on financial planning, budgeting, and reporting for DoD and federal programs, with a focus on accuracy and compliance.

You will perform variance analysis, monitor funding and burn rates, and present dashboards to executive leadership and government stakeholders. A Secret Clearance and 5+ years of relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Government Secret Clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration with 5+ years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, analysis, and reporting activities in support of DoD and federal government programs.
• Develop and manage program budgets, forecasts, and Estimates at Completion (EACs).
• Perform variance analysis on cost, schedule, and performance metrics; identify drivers and corrective actions.
• Monitor contract funding, expenditures, and burn rates to ensure compliance with funding limits.
• Prepare and present financial reports, dashboards, and briefings for leadership and government stakeholders.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, including revenue recognition and accruals.
• Conduct cost analysis, pricing support, and financial modeling for proposals and new opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, and CAS requirements; support audits by DCMA and DCAA.
• Analyze indirect rates, overhead, and G&A; support rate development and forecasting.
• Track and manage subcontractor and vendor costs in coordination with procurement and program teams.
• Identify financial risks and opportunities; develop mitigation strategies.

ASRC Federal Advanced Research is currently seeking a Program Financial Analyst, Sr to support autonomy vehicle integrations in Sterling Heights, Michigan. Considering the state of the world today, military technical innovation is critical to defending our territories and those of our allies. The US Army is currently exploring advancements to equip ground combat forces with autonomous vehicle platforms. This effort presents a unique opportunity for civilians to participate in the research and development efforts that will shape future battlefield combat platforms.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, analysis, and reporting activities in support of DoD and federal government programs
• Develop and manage program budgets, forecasts, and Estimates at Completion (EACs) to ensure alignment with contract objectives
• Perform variance analysis on cost, schedule, and performance metrics; identify drivers and recommend corrective actions
• Monitor contract funding, expenditures, and burn rates to ensure compliance with funding limitations and avoid overruns
• Prepare and present financial reports, dashboards, and briefings for executive leadership and government stakeholders
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, including revenue recognition and accruals
• Conduct cost analysis, pricing support, and financial modeling for proposals and new business opportunities
• Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) requirements
• Support audits and reviews by government agencies such as DCMA and DCAA, ensuring audit-ready financial documentation
• Analyze indirect rates, overhead, and General & Administrative (G&A) expenses; support rate development and forecasting
• Track and manage subcontractor and vendor costs in coordination with procurement and program teams
• Identify financial risks and opportunities; develop mitigation strategies to protect program profitability

Required Qualifications

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Government Secret Clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration with (5) or more years of relevant work experience.
