Job summary

ASRC Federal Advanced Research is seeking a Procurement Analyst in Sterling Heights, MI, to support autonomy vehicle integration programs within defense initiatives. The role emphasizes end-to-end procurement, RFQ development, and DFARS compliance, with collaboration across engineering and program management teams.

The position requires DoD/FAR experience, the ability to obtain a secret clearance, and willingness to travel up to 25% annually.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Government Secret Clearance.
• Minimum two years’ experience using DoD/FAR purchasing procedures.
• Willingness to travel CONUS and OCONUS, 25% annually.
• Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance or equivalent and three years of experience.
• This can be substituted with technical training or certifications in DoD purchasing and 5 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Execute end-to-end procurement activities in support of defense programs, including sourcing, purchasing, and supplier management.
• Develop and issue RFQs, evaluate proposals, and conduct price/cost analysis to ensure fair pricing.
• Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, and company purchasing policies (including DCMA-approved systems).
• Review SOWs, technical drawings, and specs to procure materials and services accurately.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and contractual conditions with suppliers to meet cost/schedule goals.
• Generate purchase orders and subcontracts with proper flow-down of requirements.
• Monitor supplier performance, including on-time delivery and quality; address deficiencies.
• Coordinate with engineering, program management, and quality teams on procured items.
• Track procurement status and provide updates on material availability and risks.
• Support material planning and align procurement with production schedules.
• Maintain audit-ready procurement documentation in compliance with government requirements.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including long-lead items and single-sources.
• Assist in audits by government agencies such as DCMA or DCAA.
• Assist in proposal efforts by obtaining quotes and supporting pricing volumes.

The US Army is currently exploring advancements to equip ground combat forces with autonomous vehicle platforms. Job Responsibilities:

• Execute end-to-end procurement activities in support of defense programs, including sourcing, purchasing, and supplier management
• Develop and issue Requests for Quote (RFQs), evaluate proposals, and conduct price/cost analysis to ensure fair and reasonable pricing
• Ensure compliance with FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation), DFARS, and company purchasing policies (including DCMA-approved purchasing systems)
• Review and interpret Statements of Work (SOW), technical drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate procurement of materials and services
• Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and contractual conditions with suppliers to meet program cost and schedule objectives
• Generate purchase orders and subcontracts, ensuring proper flow-down of contractual requirements and clauses
• Monitor supplier performance, including on-time delivery, quality, and responsiveness; address deficiencies as needed
• Coordinate closely with engineering, program management, and quality teams to ensure procured items meet technical and program requirements
• Track procurement status and provide regular updates on material availability, risks, and mitigation strategies
• Support material planning and ensure alignment between procurement activities and production schedules
• Maintain accurate procurement documentation, files, and audit-ready records in compliance with government requirements
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including long lead items and single-source suppliers
• Support audits and reviews conducted by government agencies such as DCMA or DCAA
• Assist in proposal efforts by obtaining vendor quotes, developing cost estimates, and supporting pricing volumes

Required Qualifications
