About the Role

GRID Networks is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Program Financial Analyst to join our team. This role serves as a trusted financial partner to program leadership, ensuring our programs are financially sound, contractually compliant, and positioned for successful execution.

As the financial lead across a portfolio of programs and corporate initiatives, you will oversee program budgets, forecasts, funding, and financial performance while providing actionable insights that support informed business decisions. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys solving complex financial challenges, and has a proactive approach to identifying risks and opportunities before they impact program performance.

Key Responsibilities

Program Financial Management

  • Manage the financial performance of a portfolio of programs, including budgets, forecasts, actuals, and financial reporting.

  • Develop, maintain, and analyze Estimates at Completion (EACs) and Estimates to Complete (ETCs) in partnership with Program Managers.

  • Monitor funding levels, burn rates, cost-to-complete projections, and contract performance to ensure programs remain aligned with scope, schedule, and funding.

  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations that support program execution and strategic decision-making.

  • Identify financial risks, trends, and opportunities, recommending corrective actions to optimize program outcomes.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Reporting

  • Lead annual budget development and support long-range financial planning, including the Annual Operating Plan (AOP).

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc financial reports, dashboards, and performance metrics for leadership.

  • Manage invoicing, revenue recognition, and contract funding status across multiple programs.

  • Perform variance analysis against budgets and forecasts, communicating key drivers and business impacts to stakeholders.

Compliance & Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Ensure financial transactions comply with company policies, accounting standards, contractual requirements, and applicable regulations.

  • Support internal and external audits, reconciliations, and financial documentation reviews.

  • Partner closely with Program Management, Contracts, Subcontracts, Accounting, and other cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial management throughout the program lifecycle.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance financial processes, reporting, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and 9+ years of relevant experience).

  • Five or more years of experience in program or project financial management, preferably supporting multiple programs simultaneously.

  • Experience developing and managing EACs, ETCs, forecasting, and cost performance reporting.

  • Working knowledge of a variety of contract types.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, financial modeling, and complex formulas.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate financial information effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred

  • Experience supporting large-scale, multi-element contracts.

  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and program financial controls.
