Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation seeks a Program Finance Systems Analyst III to lead advanced administration of IPM software, specifically Deltek Cobra, and optimize financial tooling. You will configure, test, deploy, and support IPM solutions while collaborating with finance and program teams to ensure compliant IPM use.

You will mentor junior analysts, evaluate security and access, and drive continuous improvement in DoD/government contracting environments. Strong Excel/SQL skills are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Finance, Accounting, IS, Business Admin or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in finance systems, project control, or related field (or equivalent; or 8+ years if no degree).
  • Experience with Deltek Cobra and/or other IPM software solutions.
  • Experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry.
  • Strong facilitation skills addressing IT and business stakeholders around tool maintenance and continuous improvement.

Job description

Program Finance Systems Analyst III

Responsible for leading advanced administration and maintenance of Integrated Program Management (IPM) business software, specifically Deltek Cobra.

Responsibilities
  • Lead advanced administration and maintenance of IPM business software (Deltek Cobra).
  • Configure, test, deploy, and optimize IPM software products.
  • Address complex end‑user needs to deliver high‑quality IPM solutions.
  • Manage advanced user/role‑based security and support.
  • Collaborate with application team members and users to ensure effective and optimized use of IPM solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve advanced system‑related issues.
  • Conduct advanced training sessions for end‑users to enhance their understanding of IPM software.
  • Document processes, configurations, and changes to ensure accurate records.
  • Mentor and guide junior analysts on best practices and problem resolution.
Qualifications – Must Have
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in finance systems, project control, or a related field (or equivalent education/experience; in the absence of a degree, a minimum of 8 years of related experience is required).
  • Experience with Deltek Cobra and/or other similar Integrated Program Management software solutions.
  • Experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry.
  • Strong facilitation skills addressing complex IT and business stakeholder concerns around tool maintenance and continuous improvement.
Qualifications – Prefer
  • Experience working for SNC in a program finance analyst capacity.
  • Advanced knowledge of IPM software and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel and SQL.
  • Master’s degree in a related field.
  • Ability to resolve advanced Cobra troubleshooting and administration requests.
  • Comfortable working independently to fulfill requested changes, enhancements, and updates to existing processes and tools.
  • Competency in documenting technical requirements and functional use of enterprise business applications (Deltek Cobra).
  • Continuous engagement to understand current and future tool capabilities relative to business needs.
  • Ability to develop and conduct relevant stakeholder learning sessions.
  • Foundational understanding of Program Management processes.
  • Familiarity with DoD, government contracting, and/or public auditing policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).
  • Knowledge of program finance processes, procedures, and tools.
Essential Functions
  • Ability to work in an office or hybrid environment.
  • Ability to work on a computer for extended periods.
  • Strong hand/finger dexterity for computer tasks.
  • Ability to occasionally lift/move up to 20 pounds.
  • May require occasional travel for training or meetings.
Salary and Benefits

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $94,345.12 – $129,724.54.

Benefits include medical, dental, and vision plans; 401(k) with 150% match up to 6%; life insurance; 3 weeks paid time off; tuition reimbursement; and more.
