Job summary

Catholic Charities of Santa Clara County seeks a temporary Program Finance Manager to lead the Program Finance team, maintain monthly close, review grants, and ensure timely reporting. The role provides interim leadership to PFAs and partners with program leadership.

This 3-month assignment, with possible extension, requires nonprofit accounting expertise, strong communication, and ability to prioritize diverse finance projects under the Controller.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or MBA preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
• Experience with multi-funder government and philanthropic grants.
• Experience supervising or leading finance staff.
• Proficient in nonprofit GAAP (ASC 958) and grant compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Program Finance Analysts and supervise PFA staff.
• Manage month-end close for program finance and grant accounting.
• Prepare reconciliations for grants, AR, and deferred revenue.
• Review grant billings and AR aging; ensure accuracy.
• Provide variance analysis and budget-to-actual reporting.
• Support audit processes and respond to inquiries.
