Job summary

CFS is seeking an Assistant Comptroller to join a growing regional nonprofit. The role will drive financial accuracy, oversee subledger reconciliation, and supervise a 3–5 person accounting team. You will analyze monthly and quarterly data, prepare budgets and projections, and support program financials.

The position offers a hybrid schedule with limited overtime, a mission-driven culture, and opportunities for professional growth within a stable organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is required.
• Master's degree and CPA are a plus.
• Nonprofit experience is preferred.
• 5+ years of accounting experience and 1–2 years supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Will ensure compliance of all regulatory standards.
• Reconcile subledgers.
• Oversee an accounting staff of 3-5.
• Analyze monthly and quarterly financial data and reports.
• Prepare and present financial projections.
• Prepare and present budgets for assigned programs.
• Assist with other projects as needed.
