Point Foundation seeks a hands-on, systems-minded Controller to run day-to-day finance operations and build scalable infrastructure. Reporting to CFO, this role manages expenditures, reconciliations, month-end close, and audit readiness, working with program teams to ensure accurate disbursement of scholarship funds.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of accounting experience in nonprofit or similar sector.
• Experience with nonprofit fund accounting.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and QuickBooks Online; MS Office.
• Experience with AP/payments platforms such as Bill.com; AI tools usage.
• Systems-first mindset to automate and improve processes.
• Strong financial reporting and data analysis; explain to non-finance.
• Experience coordinating annual financial audits.
• Strategic thinking on scalable finance operations.
• Hands-on, not just oversight; supervisory experience.

Responsabilités

• Oversee accounts payable, scholarship payments, payroll entries.
• Reconcile cash and investments weekly/monthly.
• Close books monthly and prepare reports for leadership.
• Ensure scholarship funds disbursed on schedule; support scholars.
• Prepare for annual audit; coordinate with external auditors.
• Lead process improvements including automation/AI.
• Coordinate finance with other departments; ensure data governance.
• Supervise one coordinator-level direct report.
