Job summary

AeroVironment seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to lead the development and maintenance of program financial plans across multiple products. You will collaborate with Program Management, Finance, and Technical teams to ensure accurate budgets and EACs and support cost estimating, pricing, and audits.

You will analyze cost performance, prepare financial reports, and participate in contract negotiations while identifying improvements and driving efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration or equivalent
• 8–12 years of relevant experience in cost/price management
• Experience with costing and pricing of complex development programs
• Working knowledge of ERP, SCM, and CRM software/applications
• Advanced MS Excel skills and MS Office proficiency
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve results

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain program financial plans, budgets and EACs for multiple programs
• Ensure compliance with internal procedures and government procurement regulations
• Analyze cost performance against plans to meet contractual obligations
• Prepare project control/financial analysis reports for customers/users
• Develop complex cost and pricing models for proposals
• Support in proposal cost estimates, DCAA audits and contract negotiations
• Administer complex financial analyses (variance, risk, P&L) and present findings
• Conduct ad-hoc analyses and identify trends with actionable recommendations
• Liaise with program office, operations and other staff on financial issues
• Interface with subcontracts and customers and drive process improvements
• Lead teams on new assignments and share best practices
• Perform other duties as assigned
