Job summary

TMN Toyota Motor North America Company seeks a driven Analyst to support profitability from concept to production. You will assist with cost and price management, provide financial insights, and work with cross-functional teams to improve vehicle-level and enterprise profitability.

You will analyze forecasts, track performance, and help standardize processes with scalable tools. A strong foundation in finance, FP&A, and data storytelling will help you drive strategic actions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in Product or FP&A or strategic cost/profit analysis.
• Experience in cross-functional collaboration and financial storytelling.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with data visualization tools.

Who we’re looking for

Toyota’s Product Profit Lifecycle Management (PPLM) Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Analyst. The primary responsibility of this role is to support full vehicle lifecycle profitability by assisting with cost and price management from early concept through production. It plays a key role in Toyota’s transition to enterprise profit-focused operations by delivering financial insights that inform development decisions and our long-term mobility strategy. Reporting to the PPLM Manager, the person in this role will support the PPLM department's objective to work closely with cross-functional teams to support schedule management, assess financial performance, identify risks and opportunities, and contribute to actions that improve vehicle-level and enterprise profitability. This role offers valuable exposure to PPLM processes and cross-functional collaboration, creating a strong foundation for continued professional growth.

What you’ll be doing

• Assist with Planning and Coordination o Support project schedules and milestones from concept through production o Align profit targets with Sales, Design, Plant, Logistics, and other functional groups o Assist in execution of roles, deliverables, and timelines o Use strong communication and follow-up to maintain alignment and accountability
• Support Financial Performance Analysis o Compare Cost Planning, Pricing, Ideal Budget, and PBM Actuals based on lifecycle phase o Identify and explain cost and price drivers impacting profitability o Provide clear gap-to-target analysis to support recovery actions and strategic decisions
• Support Profitability Monitoring and Target Management o Track inputs across Cost Planning, Pricing, Ideal Budget, and PBM Actuals o Monitor Risks and Opportunities to support target management and long-term profitability
• Support Manufacturing and Investment Strategy o Partner with Enterprise Strategy & Solutions on plant, line, and localization studies o Support financial analysis to guide capacity planning and capital investment decisions
• Support Tools and Process Standardization o Develop scalable analysis templates, tools, and systems to improve efficiency and consistency o Document and standardized processes that enable data-driven decision-making across the vehicle lifecycle

What you bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
• 2+ years of relevant experience in Product or Program Finance, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), or Strategic Cost/Profit Analysis
• Experience in cross-functional collaboration and financial storytelling
• Strong Excel skills (i.e., v-lookups, pivot tables) and exposure to data visualization tools
• Ability to support multiple projects and adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

Added bonus if you have

• MBA or advanced degree in a related field
• Project Management coursework, experience, or certification (i.e., PMP, CAPM)
• Familiarity with SAP, Tableau, Power BI, or other financial systems
• Experience with vehicle lifecycle management, cost planning, or manufacturing finance
• Interest or background in process improvement, standardization, or tool development
