Job description

Program & Events Coordinator – Two Rivers Senior Center

The City of Two Rivers is looking for an energetic, creative, and people-focused Program & Events Coordinator to help make the Two Rivers Senior Center an active, welcoming, and fun place to be.

This is not a behind-the-desk programming position. We are looking for someone who enjoys working directly with people, brings enthusiasm to a room, and is comfortable personally leading programs, activities, classes, and events.

The ideal candidate is someone who loves building relationships and creating opportunities for people to stay active, connected, healthy, and engaged. A background or interest in fitness, athletics, recreation, wellness, education, event programming, or community engagement would be a great fit for this position.

The Program & Events Coordinator develops, organizes, promotes, and leads recreational, fitness, wellness, educational, social, and special event programming for older adults. The position also helps identify new opportunities to grow participation, welcome new members, and continuously improve the Senior Center experience.

The position works under the general supervision of the Senior Center Supervisor and Parks & Recreation Director.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is outgoing, positive, creative, and comfortable working with people.
  • Enjoys leading groups and being actively involved in programs.
  • Can make activities welcoming and fun for participants of different interests and abilities.
  • Is excited about helping older adults stay active, healthy, social, and connected.
  • Has the creativity to develop new programs and events.
  • Is comfortable trying new ideas and building programs from the ground up.
  • Can build strong relationships with participants, volunteers, instructors, community organizations, and local businesses.
  • Is organized and able to balance programming, events, communication, and administrative responsibilities.
  • Has an interest or background in recreation, fitness, athletics, wellness, education, events, human services, or a related field.

Candidates must be at least 18 years old. A valid Wisconsin driver's license is required. Food Safety Certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Computer skills should include familiarity with Microsoft Office, Gmail, Google Calendar, social media, and basic promotional design tools such as Canva.
