Job summary

BronxWorks is recruiting a Program Director for Sanctuary Family Shelter in Bronx, NY. This full-time leadership role oversees facility operations, staff, and program development to support families' path to independence.

The position requires a Master's degree in social work or mental health with LMSW/LMHC licensure and 3–5 years of supervisory/contract management experience, plus experience with government agencies. Strong fundraising skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work or mental health field required.
• LMSW or LMHC licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that the facility is maintained, sanitary, and compliant with regulations.
• Supervise operations staff, overseeing 24-hour security, fire safety, crisis intervention, and communications.
• Manage on-site human resources functions, including staff hiring, evaluation, supervision, training, and termination.
• Plan, develop and implement program policy for the facility.
• Participate in fundraising activities and lead or coordinate proposal writing.
• Develop and implement new program components as needed.
• Manage the collection and presentation of clients, administrative, and program data.
• Develop and manage the annual operating budget.
• Represent agency at interagency meetings.
• Perform additional duties assigned.
