Job summary

College of the Redwoods in California seeks a full-time, non-tenure-track Assistant Professor of Surgical Technology who will teach and provide leadership within the Surgical Technologist program, serving as Program Director and Primary Instructor.

The faculty member will oversee communication, ongoing program planning and assessment, fiscal management, and leadership in developing and evaluating the clinical education program.

Qualifications

• Must hold CST or CSFA credential NBSTSA.
• Current BLS certification for healthcare providers.
• Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited surgical technology program.
• Instructional knowledge or experience in curriculum design must be completed prior to August 2027.

Responsibilities

• Teach and provide leadership within the Surgical Technologist program.
• Serve as Program Director and Primary Instructor for the program.
• Oversee communication, program planning, and assessment.
• Manage fiscal operations for the program.
• Lead development and evaluation of the clinical education program.
