Job summary

College of the Redwoods invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Nursing. The successful candidate will teach in ADN, LVN, CNA, and PT programs and may receive additional training in Pediatrics, OB, Med/Surg, Psychiatric Nursing, and Simulation as needed.

The college supports updating expertise in the required specialty areas with appropriate credentials. The position is a full-time, 10-month commitment that is paid over 12 months, including winter and spring

Qualifications

• Master's in nursing or bachelor’s in nursing with master’s in health education or health science or equivalent.
• Minimum qualifications per the Board of Registered Nursing (BRN).
• Willingness to train in pediatrics, OB, medical-surgical, psychiatric nursing and simulation.

Responsibilities

• Teach in ADN, LVN, CNA and PT programs as needed.
• Possible training in additional specialty areas as required.
• Teaching assignments may include evening and weekend clinical hours.
