Job summary

St. Mary's Health Care System - Athens is seeking a Program Director for the Inpatient Rehabilitation program.

This leadership role oversees administration, clinical operations, and financial performance to deliver high quality patient care and ensure regulatory compliance. You will lead interdisciplinary teams, develop budgets and strategic plans, oversee staff development, monitor performance metrics, and represent the program in internal and external meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a clinical discipline or healthcare management required; master's preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years in rehab leadership or administration.
• Valid clinical license as applicable by state.

Responsibilities

• Oversee admin, planning, development, and finances of the rehab program with focus on quality care and compliance.
• Oversee inpatient rehab operations including clinical, financial, and admin performance.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality care and standards.
• Develop and manage budgets, goals, and strategic plans.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and accrediting agencies.
• Supervise and develop staff; provide ongoing training and support.
• Analyze performance metrics and implement quality improvements.
• Represent the rehab program in internal and external meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

St. Mary's Inpatient Rehabilitation offers transitional inpatient therapy and education for those with physical disabilities resulting from injury or illness. Our CARF-accredited center helps patients maximize function and independence while preparing them for their return home. The Inpatient Rehabilitation is a team of healthcare professionals working together to serve people with functional disabilities, their families, and the community, along with St Mary's Health Care System. We are helping our patients reach their full potential for independent living through education, therapeutic activities, and quality medical care.

How you'll contribute

A Program Director who excels in this role:

• The Program Director is responsible for the overall administration, planning, development, and financial operations of the rehabilitation program, ensuring quality patient care and adherence to regulatory standards.
• Oversee the operations of the inpatient rehabilitation program including clinical, financial, and administrative performance.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care and compliance with treatment standards.
• Develop and manage departmental budgets, goals, and strategic plans.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and accrediting agencies.
• Supervise and develop staff; provide ongoing training and support.
• Analyze performance metrics and implement quality improvement initiatives.
• Represent the rehab program in internal and external meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional Information

• Demonstrated leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills required.
• Experience in inpatient rehab management preferred.
