Job summary

The Meyer Foundation seeks a Program Director to lead the Foundation’s engagement in the District of Columbia, co-managing a Program Assistant and collaborating with peers to deploy Meyer’s strategy across housing, employment, education, and asset-building goals. This leadership role centers on racial equity and systemic change within the DC region.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of senior management experience.
• Experience addressing systemic racism and its consequences in communities.
• Leadership in community-based organizations or local government preferred.
• Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage a portfolio deploying Meyer’s strategies toward housing, employment, education, and asset-building in DC and surrounding areas.
• Develop and manage a community-specific grant portfolio informed by data, outreach, and analysis.
• Represent the Foundation at events and meetings in the identified area.
• Expand work in advocacy, capacity-building, convening, and collective action.
• Collaborate with Program colleagues and co-manage a Program Assistant.
