Job summary

The Meyer Foundation seeks a Senior Director, Strategy and Racial Equity to lead program strategy and portfolio development across Northern Virginia and Washington, DC. The role embeds in communities to understand challenges and develops grantmaking and advocacy plans focused on racial equity in housing, jobs, education, and asset-building.

Reporting to the VP of Program and Community, you will co-manage a Program Assistant, collaborate across Meyer Foundation teams, and represent the Foundation

Qualifications

• Experience in leadership roles within communities affected by racial and social inequities.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and manage multi-stakeholder programs.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage a portfolio deploying Meyer’s strategies to address inequities in housing, employment, education, and asset-building.
• Develop and manage a community-focused grant portfolio for Northern Virginia or DC.
• Represent the Foundation at community events and meetings in the target areas.
• Identify opportunities to expand work in advocacy, capacity-building, convening, and collective action.
• Collaborate with Program colleagues to apply cross-issue expertise and co-manage a Program Assistant.
