Job summary

Commonpoint is seeking a Program Director for Older Adult Services in Queens to lead the NNORC WOW program, supervising a multidisciplinary team and ensuring high-quality services.

The role requires an MSW and NY LMSW, plus 5+ years in program management, with travel for home visits. Strong stakeholder relations and data-driven improvement are essential, with occasional after-hours events.

Qualifications

• MSW from an accredited program and NY LMSW license required.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible program management experience in a community-based social service setting.
• SIFI certified, or SIFI eligible and willing to obtain certification.
• Demonstrated experience supervising staff and managing multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong knowledge of older adult services, community resources, case assistance, benefits/entitlements, and referral systems.
• Ability to travel to home visits and between agency sites.

Responsibilities

• Provides overall leadership and day-to-day oversight of the NNORC WOW Supportive Services Program.
• Supervise, support, and evaluate a team of administrative staff, social workers, interns, consulting RNs, instructors, and volunteers.
• Meets with potential new members to explain services and assess client needs; provides case management and case assistance.
• Ensures program and staff meet standards and adhere to funder requirements.
• Manages program utilization via dashboards and surveys to guide improvements.
• Develops outreach strategies to support program growth and diverse communities.
• Builds relationships with community partners and stakeholders.
• Facilitates quarterly Senior Advisory/Partners Board meetings.
