Job summary

Children’s Rescue Fund seeks a Program Director to oversee day-to-day program operations at the Belnord location in New York City. The role ensures regulatory compliance, contracts adherence, and high-quality service delivery while guiding a multi-disciplinary team.

The ideal candidate will bring an MSW/MPA, substantial supervisory experience, and strong crisis-management skills to lead programs for multi-problem families in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• MSW/MPA or related advanced degree preferred; Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum of four years’ human services experience, with at least two years of managerial and supervisory experience.
• Experience with multi-problem families desirable.
• Ability to think and act calmly in emergency situations.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of DHS/OTDA social service documentation policies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the program’s effectiveness to ensure DHS-defined goals are met.
• Manage multi-disciplinary teams and ensure integrated service delivery.
• Ensure staff implement procedures to provide quality service.
• Collaborate with management on annual operating budgets and monitor expenses.
• Coordinate billing reports with the fiscal department and ensure timely responses.
• Ensure procurement procedures are followed and fiscal compliance is maintained.
• Oversee facilities operations and occupancy targets; liaison with building management.
• Lead CQI activities and conduct program audits to meet standards.
