The University of Houston System invites applications for a senior operations leader in Deans Office - Arts. This role oversees the Kathrine G. McGovern College of the Arts academic advising and student-success program, directing staff, budgets, and projects to drive student success.

Description:
Responsible for the operations of a large program or center at the university. Oversees staff, budgets, and projects.
Responsible for the operations of the Kathrine G. McGovern College of the Arts academic advising and student-success program and for assigned college-level academic program administration. In collaboration with the Executive Director for Student Success, directs advising and student support services, oversees staff and projects, develops short- and long-term goals, and advises students. Serves as a college liaison for university admissions, orientation, academic policy, undergraduate and graduate curriculum proposals, and catalog updates.
Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical, or professional discipline, or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related four-year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program directly related to the work being performed.
Preferred: Graduate-level degree in a relevant or related field.
Requires a minimum of five years of direct job-related experience.
Preferred: Five years of directly job-related experience working with creative and performing arts students in an academic advising or academic administration capacity.
Experience will be considered in lieu of education.
Education will be considered in lieu of experience.
