Job summary

The University of Houston System invites applications for a senior operations leader in Deans Office - Arts. This role oversees the Kathrine G. McGovern College of the Arts academic advising and student-success program, directing staff, budgets, and projects to drive student success.

You will collaborate with the Executive Director for Student Success on policies, strategic plans, and service improvements, while advising students and coordinating college-wide curricular processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of direct job-related experience.
• Strong understanding of academic advising and student-success operations.
• Experience supervising staff and coordinating large programs.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily advising and student-support operations.
• Advises a defined caseload on degree requirements and planning; provides career guidance.
• Directs advising staff and assigns priorities, trains staff, and evaluates performance.
• Collaborates to develop policies, procedures, and strategic plans.
• Represents the office to admissions, orientation, and academic policy.
• Reviews catalog updates and coordinates curricular processes.
