About the Role

CBRE/Turner & Townsend is seeking a strategic and commercially minded Program Management Director to support a premier global technology client’s capital project portfolio in Menlo Park, CA. In this high-impact role, you will serve as the primary commercial point of contact, ensuring financial rigor, benchmarking excellence, and best-in-class delivery across a significant portfolio of capital projects.

As a Program Management Director based in Menlo Park, CA (on-site with flexibility), you will be instrumental in leading and executing complex a high-value Tenant Improvement (TI) program across our client's campus, with individual project values typically ranging from $30M to $100M. Your expertise will be critical in delivering diverse spaces, including general office and tech lab spaces. We are seeking a highly experienced professional with a minimum of 10 years of combined experience in General Contracting within the areas of Project and Program Management. You should have a proven track record of successfully managing high-complexity projects exceeding $30M.

What You’ll Do:
  • Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.
  • Oversee large cross-functional workplace and tech lab projects or programs from end to end using a formal process.
  • Ensure that all functions remain on schedule and any issues get escalated and resolved so that the program gets completed on time.
  • Manage internal and external relationships in support of programs.
  • Work with key stakeholders to develop solutions and guide project teams throughout delivery.
  • Create & distribute routine PMO reports, which include status reports and updated Gantt charts.
  • Apply advanced knowledge to seek and develop new, better methods for accomplishing both individual and department objectives.
  • Showcase expertise in own job discipline and in-depth knowledge of other job disciplines within the organization function.
  • Coach others to develop in-depth knowledge and expertise in most or all areas within the function.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with our values. Anticipates potential objections and persuades others, often at senior levels and of divergent interest, to adopt a different point of view.

What You’ll Need:
  • Bachelor's Degree required with 10+ years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. PgMP or PMP certifications preferred
  • 10+ years of experience managing commercial construction Tenant Improvement and New Construction projects and programs with a focus in tech labs and/or workplace construction.
  • Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.
  • The innovative mentality to develop methods that go beyond existing solutions.
  • Ability to solve unique problems using standard and innovative solutions having a broad impact on the business.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Expert organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
  • Highly sophisticated math skills. Ability to calculate somewhat complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
