Job summary

Children’s Rescue Fund invites applications for a Program Director to oversee the Poplar program in Bronx, NY. This full-time leadership role manages day-to-day operations, ensures regulatory compliance, and aligns with contractual obligations and organizational standards.

The position requires a Master’s in Social Work, NYS licensure (LCSW/LMSW preferred), and at least four years in human services with supervisory experience. Strong crisis management and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited college/university.
• NYS licensure (LCSW or LMSW) strongly preferred.
• Minimum of four years’ human services experience with at least two years of managerial and supervisory experience.
• Experience with multi-problem families and/or individuals desirable.
• Ability to think and act calmly in emergency situations.
• Ability to work with a team.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage tasks efficiently.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize assignments.
• Excellent analytical, evaluative, and human service management skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the program’s effectiveness to ensure DHS-defined goals are met.
• Manage multi-disciplinary teams and ensure integration of services to clients.
• Ensure staff implement procedures and policies for quality service delivery.
• Collaborate on annual operating budgets and monitor expenses.
• Ensure timely billing reports and respond to billing inquiries.
• Review and approve purchase requisitions and ensure procurement compliance.
• Oversee facilities compliance with regulations and occupancy targets.
• Monitor DHS performance metrics and develop improvement strategies.
• Lead CQI activities and audit program performance for compliance.
• Hire, train, and develop staff; provide ongoing feedback and support.
• Establish community relations and liaison with local agencies.
