Job summary

Gwinnett Technical College seeks an Adjunct Faculty member for Residential Carpentry to teach in the Engineering Construction Manufacturing and Design Division. This part-time, non-benefited, FLSA Exempt/Professional role reports to the Program Director - Carpentry and Residential Construction Management.

Responsibilities include delivering lectures, following lesson plans, evaluating student progress, maintaining required documentation, and supporting recruitment and placement efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related discipline or Associate’s degree with 2 years related work experience.
• Two years related work experience is required.
• Postsecondary teaching experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and delivers lecture and/or computer lab course material.
• Follows prepared lesson plans for classroom instruction for technical core courses.
• Evaluates students’ progress in attaining goals and objectives.
• Maintains documentation and administrative reports.
• Assists with recruitment, retention, and job placement efforts.
• Ensures safety and security requirements in the training area.
