Flatbush Development Corporation in Brooklyn is seeking a Program Director to oversee the COMPASS After School Program under the Deputy Director of Youth Programs. This on-site, full-time role ensures programs meet standards and funding guidelines while providing day-to-day supervision.

You will budget, hire and supervise staff, coordinate with schools and families, monitor enrollment, and ensure safe, welcoming programming that supports youth development and education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Work, or a related field (preferred).
• Associate’s degree in child development, elementary education, or physical education.
• A School-Age Child Care Credential or equivalent credential.
• Two years of college with 18 credits in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation or related field.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the COMPASS After School Program and ensure compliance with program standards and funding guidelines.
• Plan, organize, and supervise daily activities for youth across educational and recreational components.
• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise frontline staff; maintain compliant records and logs.
• Coordinate with schools, parents, and partners to support student success and program retention.
• Ensure health and safety guidelines and licensing requirements are met.
