About the Role

Our client seeks a proactive Program Development Officer to contribute to their impactful work in the Western Cape region. You will play a vital part in designing, implementing, and evaluating projects that align with our charitable mission. Working within a dedicated team, you'll leverage your expertise to secure resources and ensure the sustainability of our initiatives, fostering positive change within the communities we serve.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conceptualize, design, and develop new programs and projects aligned with the organization's strategic goals.
  • Conduct needs assessments and feasibility studies to identify opportunities for program expansion.
  • Write compelling grant proposals and funding requests to secure financial support for programs.
  • Manage program budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial guidelines.
  • Monitor program implementation, collect data, and prepare detailed reports on progress and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with local partners, stakeholders, and beneficiaries to ensure program relevance and effectiveness.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in program development, management, or fundraising, preferably in the non-profit sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to write successful grant proposals and reports.
  • Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to assess community needs.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with project management software is a plus.
