Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for product-related questions from body builders and our dealer network through phone, email, and in-person visits.
• Coordinating body builder book updates with our parent company to ensure accurate technical documentation for all stakeholders.
• Conducting market research and competitive analysis to inform product positioning and strategy.
• Leading on-site visits with body builders to evaluate build processes and provide technical guidance.
• Representing Hino at industry technical forums and supporting co-op/government initiatives.
• Performing feasibility studies and cost/price analyses for new product features and technical proposals.

Are you an experienced technical professional with a passion for the truck industry? Hino trucks is actively searching for our next Program Development Manager to fuel innovation and drive success! This role plays a key piece in serving as a technical advisor, program strategist, and partner to our dealers and industry body builders.

As a Program Development Manager, you’ll support our sales team and dealer network by:

• Acting as the primary technical liaison for sales teams, dealers, and body builders regarding product and application engineering issues
• Serve as the primary contact for product-related questions from body builders and our dealer network through phone, email, and in-person visits
• Coordinating body builder book updates with our parent company to ensure accurate technical documentation for all stakeholders
• Conducting market research and competitive analysis to inform product positioning and strategy
• Leading on-site visits with body builders to evaluate build processes and provide technical guidance
• Representing Hino at industry technical forums and supporting co-op/government initiatives
• Performing feasibility studies and cost/price analyses for new product features and technical proposals

Additionally, an ideal candidate would have the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business management

Reporting to the Director, Business and Program Development, this position collaborates with all departments internally across the organization and engages with our body builders, dealer network, and dedicated suppliers/partners. There are no direct reports.

This is a hybrid position based at our HQ in Novi, MI.
