Job summary

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in a technical and manufacturing environment in the aerospace/defense industry.
• DOD pricing and contract experience desired.
• 2+ years of leading a development IPT or supervisory responsibility preferred.
• Ability to work on site as needed with some remote options.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively use Microsoft Office Suite to perform daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Develop new products and identify best options to meet performance and cost targets.
• Lead IPT teams for medium-sized development programs from proposal to first production delivery.
• Hold budget responsibility including meeting Product Cost Targets with PLM input.
• Develop and maintain positive customer relationships; manage schedules and expenditures.
• Review RFQ, provide bid/no-bid recommendations for opportunities.
• Prepare and release program work authorization documents; define scope, budget, data items.
• Prepare program review reports for Advanced Product Development management.
• Support proposals/programs presentations to management and customers.
• Maintain communication across company functions to meet goals and schedules.
• Serve as SME for APD and related processes.
• Conduct analysis and modeling to develop pricing recommendations.
• Identify strategic considerations and communicate rationale to senior management.
• Develop preliminary IMS at bid phase and manage IMS as PM.
• Ensure schedules are achievable and capacity available for orders.
• Responsible for proposal schedule, cost to prepare, and budget.
• Negotiate contracts with Contract Manager; lead major proposals across sites.
• Lead presentations for proposals/programs to management and customers.
• Collaborate with PLM and Applications Engineering to grow business opportunities.
