Job summary

Fairbanks Morse Defense seeks a Project Leader to plan, organize, execute, monitor, coordinate and control project activities within a program, ensuring contractual compliance and strong customer service.

The role requires technical and administrative management of projects per contract requirements, schedule, and regulatory rules, with travel up to 10–20%. English proficiency and a willingness to travel are essential.

Qualifications

Associate or bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, technical field, or equivalent project management experience.
0-3 years project management experience.
Must demonstrate high level of customer relations skills.
Must possess project management skills including scheduling, organizing, communication, problem-solving, cost & risk management, negotiation and conflict resolution.
Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements, schedules and priorities for multiple projects.

Responsibilities

Responsible for successful execution and delivery of assigned project tasks within a program.
Demonstrates project coordination skills including understanding of physical progress, project organization, cost control, and regulatory rules.
Ensures compliance with customer contract specifications, requirements, and terms and conditions.
Collects and reports data required to monitor project progress.
Supports the Program Manager with contract compliance, project progress, financial/cost management, and subcontractor management.
Create and maintain project schedules.
Assists in the preparation of monthly status reports.
Negotiate with all functional disciplines for accomplishment of necessary work within schedule, cost and scope.
