Job summary

Marrakech is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in a residential group home setting to support individuals with developmental and physical disabilities. You’ll help residents live safe, fulfilling lives and build trusting relationships that encourage independence and personal choice.

Paid training is provided; no prior experience required. The role is based in Terryville, CT, with a pay of $19.28 per hour and an additional $0.50 per hour if DDS Medication Certification is held.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Connecticut Driver’s License.
• Ability to obtain DDS Medication Certification, CPR, and First Aid.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living skills such as personal care, meals, and routines.
• Support medical needs and appointments.
• Follow individualized support and behavior plans.
• Encourage community involvement and social engagement.
• Complete routine overnight safety checks (for overnight staff).
• Collaborate with the compassionate, supportive team.

About the Role

Your responsibilities may include

• Assisting with daily living skills such as personal care, meals, and routines
• Supporting medical needs and appointments
• Following individualized support and behavior plans
• Encouraging community involvement and social engagement
• Completing routine overnight safety checks (for overnight staff)
• Working collaboratively as part of a compassionate, supportive team

Requirements

Pay

• $19.28 per hour
