Job summary

The University of Idaho Foundation in Moscow is seeking a Program Coordinator for Student & Early Alumni Engagement to provide day-to-day operations support across program planning, implementation and delivery.

You will act as the primary contact for participants, coordinate meetings and events, manage calendars and data, and assist with financial documents and reports as needed. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills and a willingness to work nonstandard hours.

Qualifications

  • Three years performing administrative, office and/or program support functions.
  • Composing, proofing and editing a variety of documents with proper grammar and punctuation.
  • Using computer software for word processing, spreadsheets, email and internet research.

Responsibilities

  • Serving as primary contact with program participants and providing office support.
  • Facilitating communication between program participants and managerial staff.
  • Coordinating arrangements for meetings, conferences and banquets.
  • Collecting, compiling and summarizing program data and managing records.
  • Maintaining program calendars and schedules.
  • May utilize university programs to create, review and approve financial documents, and to provide routine financial reports to the program administrator.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Overview: This position is responsible for providing day-to-day operations support to team members throughout the planning, implementation and delivery of programs, and may serve as first point of contact for the unit.

Required Experience
  • Three years performing administrative, office and/or program support functions
  • Composing, proofing and editing a variety of documents, using proper grammar and punctuation as demonstrated in application materials
  • Using computer software and applications for word processing, developing spreadsheets, email and internet research
Required Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
Required Other
  • Ability to travel
  • Ability to work nonstandard business hours which may include weekends and holidays
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to meet policy requirements for driving university vehicles
Additional Preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • One year or more of relevant experience in higher education, alumni relations, engagement, event coordination or customer-focused roles
  • Strong organizational, time management and communications skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Working with student organizations or volunteers
  • Coordinating events or engagement programs
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
  • Ability to lift, carry or otherwise move up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for long periods of time
