Job summary

University of Delaware in Newark, DE seeks an Academic Program Coordinator for Sociology & Criminal Justice. This role supports undergraduate and graduate programs, coordinates course scheduling, and liaises with faculty and administrators to advance teaching, service, and research objectives.

The APC will manage data in UDSIS, assist with advisement, enrollment, and degree progression, and contribute to recruitment and orientation activities across the department and college.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related discipline with three years of job-related work experience
• Ability to evaluate student transcripts and records; knowledge of graduate academic standards and student conduct policies
• Ability to communicate prerequisites, certification, and curriculum/graduation requirements to students
• Effective organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Ability to interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and procedures
• Experience with university student records systems (UDSIS) and degree management platforms (Stellic) preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinate departmental undergraduate and graduate programs to ensure student progress toward degree completion
• Assist with registration, scheduling issues, add/drop, overrides, and transfer credit evaluations
• Interact with faculty, students, and administrators to support department, college, and university goals
• Develop curriculum guides and manage course scheduling; input data into UDSIS and manage room assignments
• Resolve conflicts in courses and monitor enrollments to adjust sections as needed
• Monitor graduate progress and coordinate with Graduate College and advisors
• Edit the UD Course Catalog and communicate curriculum changes for approval
• Participate in undergraduate and graduate recruitment and orientation activities
