The person in this role reports directly to the Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning. This is a half-time position.Essential functionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.Must effectively carry out the essential duties and responsibilities of this position in a manner that consistently demonstrates Randolph College’s mission and core values in a positive manner.Provide logistical support for faculty professional development.Collaborate with campus partners to develop, sustain, and assess educational development initiatives.Stay up-to-date with research, innovations, and emerging frameworks in teaching and learning, specifically those most relevant to liberal arts educational contexts.Provide support to faculty designing courses and assessing learning outcomes.Contribute to Center for Teaching and Learning communications.Contribute to the overall success of the unit by performing all other essential duties and responsibilities as identified and/or assigned by the Director of the Center for Teaching and LearningCompetenciesRequired:Bachelors’ degree from an accredited college or universityAbility to communicate effectively with faculty, staff, and students.Dynamic presentational and writing skills and the ability to speak compellingly to different audiencesA collaborative disposition and willingness to engage in difficult conversationsDemonstrated project management skills, including ability to prioritize and manage multiple complex projectsPreferred:Master’s Degree from an accredited college of universityExperience in teaching and learning support for educatorsUnderstanding of and desire to work within the liberal arts college contextKnowledge of trends in higher education, liberal arts education, and faculty developmentSupervisory responsibilitiesNAWork environmentPosition typically works in an office environment.Physical demandsRequires standing/walking/sitting for extended periods.
