Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day operations of student engagement initiatives to enhance retention and development.
  • Coordinate OMSB Passport Program and support student clubs and honors societies.
  • Assist with internship programs and internship advising for students.
  • Serve as liaison between OMSB and the Center for Career Development and promote career services.
  • Support admissions, alumni engagement, and accreditation initiatives.
  • Assist with recruitment/orientation activities and provide office support.

Position Description

The O'Malley School of Business invites applications for theposition of Program Coordinator, Student Success & Engagement.This role supports and helps execute OMSB's student successstrategy, including student engagement, academic progression,career readiness, and post-graduate outcomes. The Coordinator helpsimplement and maintain programs that connect students toexperiential learning, internships, employer networks, and alumni.Working collaboratively across academic and administrative units,this role helps ensure OMSB students are engaged, supported, andprepared to achieve strong career outcomes. This position reportsto the Dean of the O'Malley School of Business.

This is an in-person, on-campus, non-remoteposition.

Job Responsibilities
1. Student Engagement & Program Support

The Coordinator supports the day-to-day operations of studentengagement initiatives that enhance retention, belonging, andprofessional development.

  • Coordinate the OMSB Passport Program in alignment with studentdevelopment outcomes.
  • Coordinate and provide support to student clubs and honorsocieties, including faculty and alumni engagement.
  • Assist with programming for early-year students to supportretention.
  • Help manage internship programs, ensuring academic rigor andemployer partnerships.
  • Provide internship advising to students, including guidance onidentifying, applying for and securing internshipopportunities.
  • Advise students on co-curricular involvement and opportunitiesthat support their academic and professional development.
  • Provide general advising and career coaching support.
  • Assist with oversight of the student-run Fair Trade business asan experiential platform.
  • Assist faculty with experiential learning initiatives,including course-based projects, employer partnerships, and otherapplied learning opportunities.
  • Support student participation in business competitions (e.g.,the Business Analytics Competition, Federal Reserve Challenge, CFAInstitute Research Challenge, Innovation Challenge, and Battle ofthe Bronx), including team coordination, faculty advisorconnections, and logistical support.
  • Coordinate with other colleges, schools, and external partnerson joint programs, competitions, and cross-institutionalinitiatives.
  • Support students in developing public speaking and presentationskills for competitions, pitches, interviews, and otherprofessional settings.
2. Center for Career Development (CCD)Liaison

Serve as a liaison between OMSB and the Center for CareerDevelopment.

  • Promote career services and recruiting opportunities.
  • Share internship and job opportunities with students.
  • Support employer and alumni pipeline development.
  • Assist with career outcomes tracking.
3. School Initiatives & Support

Contribute to admissions, alumni engagement, accreditation andother school initiatives.

  • Support alumni engagement efforts.
  • Assist with recruitment and orientation activities.
  • Support the Dean's office on assigned initiatives.
  • Assist social media coordinator for OMSB.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree a plus.

  • 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with or strong interest in student engagement,internships, and career readiness programming.
