Job summary

Dungarvin is seeking a Program Coordinator (Lakewood, WA) to lead direct support for residents in a Supported Living Program. You will provide hands-on instruction, guidance, and compassionate care to individuals with I/DD, ensuring health, safety, and achievement of personal goals.

You will report to the Program Director and work to enrich residents’ lives while encouraging independence, with responsibilities spanning daily living support, meal prep, mobility assistance, and documentation.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of caregiver experience required (experience supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities is preferred).
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • HS Diploma or GED required.
  • Good communication is key and teamwork is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Enrich and support the lives of residents while maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
  • Provide companionship and personalized care while encouraging independence and self-care.
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living, including dressing, bathing, grooming, toileting, and eating.
  • Prepare meals and snacks; may include grocery shopping.
  • Perform light housekeeping and laundry duties.
  • Assist with transportation for community outings, appointments, and errands.
  • Implement behavior supports and de-escalation during challenging behaviors.
  • Provide mobility and transfer assistance, which may include using mechanical lift devices.
  • Administrative duties such as scheduling, training of staff, documentation and follow-up, ensuring policy compliance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Description
What You Get to Do

The Program Coordinator (PC) is the lead direct support professional foran assigned Supported Living PrograminLakewood, WA and will be responsible providing direct support, hands‑on instruction, assistance, and positive direction to individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) in a manner that ensures their health, safety, successful achievement of service objectives, and personal goals.

This is not a supervisory role. The Program Coordinator reports directly to the Program Director.
