Job summary

Texas State University is seeking a Program Coordinator II to manage day-to-day operations for selected academic programs within the College of Liberal Arts. You will support events, communications, and promotional projects, coordinating with college leadership, staff, and campus partners to ensure programs run smoothly and are well marketed.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day administrative activities for assigned programs and college initiatives.
  • Assist with establishing courses for academic programs and coordinating faculty.
  • Submit purchase requisitions and reimbursements for assigned programs.
  • Manage scholarships associated with assigned programs.
  • Perform student overrides and assist with routine academic program requests.
  • Communicate with students, faculty, staff, and campus partners regarding activities.
  • Schedule guest speakers and coordinate visits, including vendor payment and travel logistics.
  • Provide in-person administrative coverage for the College of Liberal Arts office during business hours.
  • Coordinate and support events for students, faculty, staff and alumni, including reservations, room setup, signage, and day-of support.
  • Assist with updating webpages and social media channels (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram).
  • Create marketing materials for programs and college initiatives.
  • Maintain organized program records, calendars, files, templates, and references.
  • Set up, test, and provide basic support for presentation technology during meetings and events.
  • Facilitate special requests from the Dean and Associate Deans.
  • Assist with college-wide projects and other duties as assigned.

Job Description

The Program Coordinator II provides comprehensive program coordination and creative support for the College of Liberal Arts. The position manages the day-to-day operations of select academic programs, supports college-wide events and initiatives, and contributes to communications and promotional projects. Working closely with college leadership, staff, and campus partners, the coordinator helps ensure programs and events are well organized, effectively marketed, and supported.

Job Duties
  • Manage day-to-day administrative activities for assigned undergraduate and graduate academic programs and college initiatives.
  • Assist with establishing courses for academic programs and coordinating faculty.
  • Submit purchase requisitions and reimbursements for assigned academic programs.
  • Manage scholarships associated with assigned academic programs.
  • Perform student overrides and assist with other routine academic program-related requests.
  • Communicate regularly with students, faculty, staff, and campus partners regarding academic program activities and administrative needs.
  • Schedule guest speakers and coordinate all aspects of their visits, including vendor registration, payment for services, travel arrangements, and event logistics.
  • Provide in-person administrative coverage for the College of Liberal Arts office during regular business hours as needed.
  • Coordinate and support events for students, faculty, staff and alumni, including reservations, room setup, supplies, signage, attendee communication, and day-of support.
  • Assist with managing assigned webpages and social media channels, including LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram.
